As our events continue to grow, so too does the behind-the-scenes work required to deliver them smoothly. After careful consideration, the committee has decided to move our event administration across to Event Secretary for upcoming eventing competitions.
This change is about improving clarity, efficiency, and communication for everyone involved competitors, officials, volunteers, and organisers alike.
Why Event Secretary?
Event Secretary is a purpose-built platform designed specifically for equestrian events. It supports the complex requirements of eventing, from entries and scheduling through to reporting and communication. Importantly, it allows our volunteer committee to manage the growing workload more effectively while maintaining accuracy and transparency.
What This Means for Competitors
Using Event Secretary will allow us to:
Manage entries and withdrawals more efficiently
Improve accuracy of start lists, times, and results
Communicate updates and changes more clearly
Reduce duplication and manual administration
Our aim is to ensure competitors receive timely, reliable information and that event preparation feels as straightforward as possible.
Supporting a Volunteer-Run Committee
Like many equestrian events, ours is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who balance their roles alongside work, family, and riding commitments. By adopting Event Secretary, we are investing in systems that support our volunteers—freeing up time that can be redirected toward course quality, competitor experience, and overall event delivery.
A Step Forward for Our Events
This move aligns with our broader commitment to best practice event delivery and continual improvement. While any system change comes with a learning curve, we believe Event Secretary will help us deliver more efficient, professional, and enjoyable events for everyone involved.
We appreciate your patience as we transition and thank you, as always, for your support of our events and our committee. Feedback is always welcome as we continue to refine how we operate and communicate.
